Gripen at Aero India 2007
The Aero India 2007 is organised by the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The show is held every two years and is the key air defense exhibition in the country. It provides an excellent opportuninty to dramatically raise the awareness of Gripen - as well as of Saab and Sweden - to the Indian market.
The Gripen pavilion has moved on from Farnborough Air Show 2006 to a central position at Aero India 2007 - Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bangalore - the hub of aerospace activity in India and home to the country's top IT companies and scientific institutions.
Gripen for India - Maximum Capability at Minimum Cost
Selecting the Gripen to equip its Air Force will provide India with the most cost effective, latest generation, multi-role combat aircraft, and the only one in full operational service. Operating as a perfect force mix to complement the IAF’s Su-30 fleet, or in fully autonomous units, Gripen offers the highest sortie generation rates, flexibility of basing and combat lethality of any aircraft in the latest generation class.
Intelligent design of software and hardware will ensure that Gripen maintains this combat supremacy via planned technology insertion throughout decades of frontline service. The time is over for yesterday’s outmoded concepts in support, upgrading and rigid basing requirements. Welcome to the future of flexible, integrated and networked combat power – now!
Ahead of the Aero India 2007 exhibition, the Gripen team has produced a brand new 'Gripen for India Fact Sheet'. This simple, but effective double-sided brochure is available to downloaded from thie website.
